Visit Colon Theater

How many architects were involved in the design and construction of the Colón? How long did it take to build? Which of the world’s greatest directors, musicians and performers have graced its stage over the last century? What’s it really like backstage?

Learn about the architecture, history, and secrets of the Colón Theatre with a special guided tour that includes the Main Foyer, the Galería de Bustos and the Salón Dorado. The tour lasts around 50 minutes.

When?

Every day, including public holidays (except May 1, December 24, 25 & 31 & January 1). Tours start every 15 minutes, from 9am to 5pm.

On days when the Colón has free concerts at 11am (check the Colón agenda), tours will be suspended between 10am and 1.30pm.

On days when the Colón has its 5pm concerts, known as ‘funciones vespertinas’, the last guided tour will take place at 3pm.

Entrance

  • General entrance fee: $180 ARS
  • Argentine residents with valid ID: $60 ARS.
  • Senior citizens (Agentine residents): $30 ARS (Mondays).
  • Free entrance for under 7s.
  • University students (residents, with ‘libreta estudiantil’): $30 ARS (Mondays).
  • Private school groups: $30 ARS per student (prior reservation only)
  • Public school students: Free (prior reservation only)
  • Persons with disability + accompanying adult: Free
